"Joseph Fuller is a founder of Monitor Group
and Chief Executive Officer of Monitor's Action Company. He currently oversees its consulting operations globally. During his tenure at Monitor, Joe has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries. His particular interest is in industries undergoing structural transition. This has led him to work in a number of sectors over the last twenty years, including life sciences and high technology industries. He is an internationally recognized expert on telecommunications and has advised some of that industry’s leading companies.
Joe has contributed extensively to Monitor’s conceptual work. In recent years, he has focused his attention on the interaction of market forces and companies’ decision-making processes, helping to create Monitor’s Organizational Strategy practice. His interest in management research began during his collaboration with Harvard's Professor Michael Porter on the development of the concepts presented in Porter’s book, Competitive Advantage. He has also authored articles for the Harvard Business Review, CEO and Across the Board magazines.
Joe is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard
College, where he was a Charles Warren Fellow. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, where he was an honors student. He currently serves as a director of the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation. "
