"Joseph Fuller is a founder of
Monitor Group and Chief Executive Officer of Monitor's Action Company. He currently oversees its consulting operations globally. During his tenure at Monitor, Joe has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries. His particular interest is in industries undergoing structural transition. This has led him to work in a number of sectors over the last twenty years, including life sciences and high technology industries. He is an internationally recognized expert on telecommunications and has advised some of that industry�s leading companies.
Joe has contributed extensively to Monitor�s conceptual work. In recent years, he has focused his attention on the interaction of market forces and companies� decision-making processes, helping to create Monitor�s Organizational Strategy practice. His interest in management research began during his collaboration with Harvard's Professor Michael Porter on the development of the concepts presented in Porter�s book, Competitive Advantage. He has also authored articles for the Harvard Business Review, CEO and Across the Board magazines.
Joe is a magna cum laude graduate of
Harvard College, where he was a Charles Warren Fellow. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, where he was an honors student. He currently serves as a director of the Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation. "
