Watching the news today reminds of the backside of J. M. Simmel's latest book: "I drink to the health of all wise politicians and brave generals, all the wonderful ideologists and adorable keepers of any religion, who, since thousands of years, fight for peace, bliss and justice on earth - and to the health of all the poor souls who have to pay for this bloody mess"

Turntable

Concerning yesterdays posting: Superluminal tunneling was mentioned on Freememes about a year ago. Eugene Podkletnov's Anti-Gravity experiments appear here and then in various publications, most recently in a nice FT article (via Lance Knobel). I love this thin line between groundbreaking science and ridiculous falsity. E=mc makes sense, but i'll never understand and comprehend any of Einsteins relativity theories, most likely. Watching fierce debates at physicist/mathematician congresses feels more like philosophy and poetry than natural science. A world of it's own.
